Individuals & Families

Individual health insurance is an attractive option for many people: those who are self-employed, working for a company without insurance benefits, covered under a spouse’s group family plan, looking for work, on COBRA, or retired.  Medical underwriting is required.

Health Savings Accounts

Created by President Bush on December 8, 2003, health savings accounts were designed to help individuals save for future qualified medical and health expenses on a tax-free basis. These plans are high deductible health plans that generally do not cover first dollar medical expenses.

Short-Term

Short term health insurance is an interim health insurance plan designed for individuals who are between permanent health plans. Whether it is due to a temporary layoff, between jobs, seasonal employment or the end of student status, a short term health insurance plan may be right for you.

Can't Get Coverage?

For individuals who have been denied coverage due to certain criteria or illness, there are very few options available.  Some insurance companies offer a limited benefit plan that does not require medical underwriting and most states have a guaranteed issue product.
