Medicare Supplement or Medigap Plans

These are health insurance policies that typically have standardized benefits and are sold by private insurance companies. Medigap policies work in tandem with your Medicare Part A and Part B coverage. They allow you to visit any doctor or hospital that accepts Medicare.

Medicare Rx

This may be either a stand-alone prescription drug plan (PDP) you can enroll in if you have Original Medicare, a Medigap plan, or a Medicare Advantage plan that offers Medicare prescription drug benefit coverage.

Medicare Advantage

These plans provide Medicare-covered benefits and may offer extra benefits Medicare does not cover. These plans can vary significantly in terms of covered benefits and accessibility to doctors and hospitals. Some plans may pay for part or all of your Medicare Part B premium; and some plans may have drug coverage similar to Medicare Rx.
